Whole Home Safety Assessment
Know exactly where your home stands — before a fall happens.
A single fall can change everything. For older adults living independently, the risks are often hiding in plain sight — a slippery tub, a dimly lit stairway, a front step with no traction. Most families don't discover these hazards until after an incident occurs.
At Landmark Home Safety, we believe prevention is far less costly than recovery — in every sense of the word.
Our Home Safety Assessment is a thorough, room-by-room evaluation of your home designed to identify fall risks, safety gaps, and opportunities to make daily life safer and more confident. We look at your home the way a safety professional does, with a practical eye toward aging in place — not unnecessary renovations.
What We Review:
Bathrooms Bathrooms are the highest-risk room in the home for older adults. We evaluate tub and shower surfaces, flooring traction, grab bar placement, and overall layout for slip and fall risk.
Entryways Your entry is the first and last point of contact with your home every day. We assess thresholds, flooring transitions, and stability hazards at your main entry points.
Interior Stairs We evaluate handrail stability, step surface traction, riser height consistency, and lighting to identify common tripping and balance risks on indoor staircases.
Exterior Stairs & Walkways Outdoor surfaces become significantly more dangerous in wet, icy, or uneven conditions. We assess steps, walkways, and entry paths for traction, visibility, and structural hazards.
Lighting Poor lighting is one of the most overlooked fall risk factors. We review lighting levels in key areas including hallways, stairways, entryways, and bathrooms.
Safety Technology We evaluate your current technology setup and identify simple, practical devices that can support safer independent living — including medical alert devices, video doorbells, smart locks, motion lighting, and family connectivity tools. You don't need to be tech-savvy. We'll walk you through everything.
What You Receive:
After your assessment, you'll receive a written Home Safety Report at no additional charge. Your report includes:
A summary of hazards identified in each area of your home
Practical, prioritized recommendations with clear next steps
A review of safety technology options suited to your situation
An optional estimate for any Landmark Home Safety services that address the findings
*There is no pressure and no obligation. The report is yours to keep and act on however you choose.
Who This Is For?
Our Home Safety Assessment is designed for older adults who want to remain safely in their own home, and for the families and caregivers who support them. If you've noticed a parent becoming less steady on their feet, or if you simply want peace of mind knowing your own home is as safe as it can be — this assessment is the right first step.

Grab bars & Installation
Simple. Practical. One of the most effective safety upgrades you can make.
Grab bars are among the most proven fall-prevention tools available for older adults — and they don't require a remodel, a contractor, or weeks of disruption. A properly placed grab bar provides critical support exactly where and when it's needed most: getting in and out of the tub, rising from the toilet, navigating a slippery shower floor.
$75-$175 per
Motion lights & Lighting Upgrades
Lighting upgrade pricing is based on the specific needs identified during your Home Safety Assessment. Most lighting improvements range from $65 to $295 depending on the number of areas and products selected. We provide a clear written estimate before any work begins.
$65-$350
Thanks to Landmark Home Safety, my parents feel secure with the new grab bars and anti-slip floor coating in the bathrooms. They love their safer bathroom.
